静岡鉄道 巴川橋梁 浜田親水公園からの眺望

静岡鉄道 静岡清水線、全15駅(50/55枚)

入江岡駅を出た電車はすぐに、それまで並走していた東海道本線と別れ、間もなく巴川を渡る。

巴川は二級河川ではあるが、河口から暫く上流部へ上ったところまでは川幅もそれなりに広く、深い。
その昔は水運にも利用されていたというが、現在この橋に架かる橋の多くは水面から橋桁までの高さが低いように思う。たぶん背の低いボートぐらいしかこの川を行き来することはできないだろう。
静鉄の巴川にかかる鉄橋は、川に沿って走る側道の橋桁までの高さが1.8mとなっており、かなり低くなっている。
しかし、この橋のすぐ上流にあるJRの鉄橋はさらに低く1.6m。一時は「日本一低い鉄橋」と喧伝されていたように記憶しているが、実際にはもっと低い鉄橋があるようだ。
この二つの鉄橋の間の右岸側に「浜田親水公園」というささやかな園地がある。浜田ポンプ場の横に整備された園地だが、人影は少ない。しかし、静鉄電車が巴川橋梁を渡る姿を間近に見ることのできるこの場所の眺めは良い。
巴川でJRと静鉄それぞれの電車が最後の顔合わせをしたのち、JR線は左にカーブして江尻方面(清水駅)に向かい、静鉄電車はこの橋のあたりで減速して、終着駅「新清水」に進入する。
