Se le dio el nombre de "Eduardo Villena Rey" al parque en homenaje a quien fuera uno de los ilustres Alcaldes que pasaron por el sillón municipal de Miraflores, durante los años 1934, 1937, 1938 y 1939. This park was named after "Eduardo Villena Rey", a very important mayor of the Miraflores municipal district in 1934, 1937, 1938 and 1939.
