旃檀林街景：
♦旃檀林，位于九华山街中心、化城寺西南，全国重点寺院，始建于清康熙年间。据传初建寺时，采伐寺后琵琶形山上异香古树，这种树与南印度被佛家视为珍品的旃檀香木极为相似，故寺名”旃檀林“。
♦1990年，旃檀林住持僧慧深法师开始发愿筹建大雄、大悲、大愿三大宝殿，移建旃檀林老殿。在政府相关部门的支持下，十年间三大宝殿相继落成，为九华街添了新韵。
