Kodachrome Basin State Park, Utah
Utah

Kodachrome Basin State Park was named after the slide film (with Kodak's permission) after a 1947 National Geographic expedition. Filled with red and white sandstone cliffs, it contains strange white 60 foot tall monolithic sandstone spires. It's within Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, and is about 17 miles east of Bryce Canyon National Park.  It has hiking trails and a lovely peacful campground.
