After a 150m scramble up from Glaslyn you are up an Cribau. From there you can see the Watkin path leading up to Snowdon in the north west. The lake below is Llyn Llydaw. To the south east you can see Y Lliwedd (893m). To the south in the far distance you can just about see the estuary south of Porthmadog.
Another glorious day in North Wales and if you are just a bit of the beaten tracks there is nobody around. The main routes to Snowdon are the miners track (you can see valley below crossing Llyn Llidaw) and the Pyg track (half way up above the miners track in the north east)
Wales (Cymru in the Welsh language) is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The major cities are Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Bangor. The city of St. Davids is the smallest city in the UK with a population around 2000. Wales itself has a population of around 3 million. The Welsh language is spoken by around 20% of the population.
