A view across the larger of two lakes on the woodland walk at Portmeirion, the architectural fantasy of the late Clough William Ellis. It was also the location for the 1960s TV series 'The Prisoner', but often missed are the beautiful woodland walks which have in more recent years been renovated.
His daughter Susan was behind the creation of this hillside garden after Williams-Ellis marked out the areas. Like Portmeirion itself, the woodlands are full of surprises.
