Taiwan
Meaning to shoot deer's ears, "malahodaigian" is one of the great traditional rites of the Taiwanese indigenous tribe, the Bunun, for hunting and martial arts. The tribe chief gathers all clansmen to the ritual field to participate in the ceremony in April or May every year. Women are not allowed to participate in this ritual ceremony. The proceeding of ceremony includes hunting, shooting deer's ears, quarries distribution, bones ritual ceremony, and some other banquets. During the ceremony, the Bunun's traditional costume and music are also presented.
