The Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP) spreads over 570 hectares and locates across the Luzhu, Gangshan, and Yongan districts. About 45 companies are in the park, providing over 2,000 jobs. High-tech industries are the emphasis of the park, including photonics, precision machinery, green energy, and innovative medical equipments. The park has an annual output value of NTD 11.1 billion. In addition, 8.5 hectares of the park is allocated to the Kaohsiung Bio-technology park, contributing to the variety of the industries that is included in the STSP.
