Tower Crisco (Christ) in 1348 (Feodosia)
Ukraine
Second in Europe (after Genoa) had the clock tower (which in the 14th century!). "In the year of the Lord 1348 on the eighth day of the month of May, when was granted the mercy of Pope Clement, for the exaltation of the cross was built this tower." "Getting your received, under the patronage of Jesus founded. It all evil for evil, but for the glory of the Almighty. Ermira Consul was then called Mondini who truly led the Christ. Yes, God protects the tower, the name of which it will always be safe, you Now glorify Him. " (Sole plates demonstrated in FKM). The tower is also known also as the name of a distorted "tower Crisco." The Genoese sources say that Christ in the tower clock was installed - a very rare at the time a mechanism which provides efficient operation of specially assigned to it by the master. Apart from him, when the clock was the guard of four guards who are obliged to beat during the ringing of bells. Gate room, the most spacious in comparison with most other fortifications, it does seem a suitable location for such a bulky device and its serving staff. However, the bell would have to be located, in contrast to the hours in an open area. It is possible that he was just on the top floor of the tower trójścienna traditionally called the name of Christ.
