「蕈」是菇的意思，顧名思義，這些岩石形似菇類，遠看又極像人頭，著名的「女王頭」就是其中之ㄧ，海蝕平台是蕈狀岩家族成長的舞台，可看到100多個蕈狀岩在此活動，須歷經五個階段： 誕生，無頸期，粗頸期，細頸期，斷頭。
