In Kerkrade vindt u een unieke internationaal erkende Botanische Tuin.

Dit jaar wordt het 75-jarig bestaan van de tuin gevierd.
De tuin is in 1939 aangelegd door de bekende landschapsarchitect John Bergmans (1892-1980) uit Oisterwijk. Hij heeft een Engelse landschapstuin ontworpen waarin het aangenaam wandelen is met prachtige zichtlijnen in de tuin.
