丹东鸭绿江大桥（断桥）为鸭绿江上诸多桥中第一座桥，一九0九年五月动工，一九一一年十月竣工。由当时日本朝鲜总督府铁道局所建。始为铁路桥，十二孔，长944.2米。 从中方数第四孔为开闭梁，以四号墩为轴，可旋转90°，便于过往船只航行。伪满时期，日本人在此桥上游建成第二座铁路大桥（即今日之中朝友谊桥），一九四三年四月启用，逐将第一桥改为公路桥。一九五0年十一月至一九五一年二月经美军飞机多次轰炸，第一桥毁为废桥。中方所剩四孔残桥保留至今。
