Majestic Boston Skyline viewed from the Fort Point Channel
Boston

Looking north in this panorama you can see the old Northern Avenue Swing Bridge which passes over Fort Point Channel. This steel truss bridge now serves pedestrian traffic and connects Boston’s downtown financial district to South Boston, traditional site of the city’s commercial harbors and wharves.

To the left, the Boston skyline is dominated by the 600 foot skyscraper at One International Place. This postmodern building is 46 stories high and is in the heart of Boston’s financial district. It is used as commercial office space and is Boston’s fifth tallest building.
Continuing left is a view of the Evelyn Moakley Bridge which carries Seaport Boulevard over the Fort Point Channel. This is a haunched-girder, steel and concrete bridge and is the main thoroughfare for vehicular and pedestrian traffic across Fort Point Channel.
The red and yellow tent covers the outdoor dining space of the Barking Crab restaurant, an immensely popular South Boston eatery. Below the tent, a ramp leads to some of the public boat docks in the channel which allow public access to this historic waterway.
