Monument to Dissident Writer Georgi Markov.

Georgi Markov was killed in 1978 in London by Francesco Gullino - agent of the bulgarian communist secret police (DS) in collaboration with KGB.

The ceremony was attended by Annabel Markov, bulgarian president Rosen Plevneliev, former presidents Zhelyu Zhelev and

Peter Stoyanov, Interior Minister Vesselin Vouchkov, Sofia
Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, former foreign minister Nadezhda
Mihailova, as well as public figures, friends and Sofianites.
