This route connects the two highest peaks of Madeira and though both are aroung of 1800 m of height the route itself reaches an elevation difference of up to 1,000 metres. It is a sensational hike, with several tunnels, a lot of steep climbs and descents and breathtaking views of the heart of the Massif Central.
