Peggy Guggenheim's career belongs in the history of 20th century art. Peggy used to say that it was her duty to protect the art of her own time, and she dedicated half of her life to this mission, as well as to the creation of the museum that still carries her name. This door represents in a good way her love for Venice, and Venice's love for her. She is still alive in our hearts and she is still changing our life and our way to look at, thanx to Guggenheim foundation. As venetian, as contemporary arts lover, as artist, I thank her anytime I pass by this door, glass stones and iron.
