David Carson is a new media artist based in Fremantle. He came to Australia from the UK in 1995 working in various art schools before becoming a full time artist concentrating on digital media. David has collaborated with many art and science organisations including filming the world’s first capture of the Aurora Borealis in 3D in association with the Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory in Lapland, Finland with UK videographer Brian McClave.
He recently completed a a year as Artist in Residence at Horizon The Planetarium in Perth, supported by Scitech and a Connections Residency Program grant from the Inter-Arts Office of the Australia Council for the Arts.
David begins a 6 month period as Artist in Residence at the remantle Arts Centre in July 2011
