Buckskin Gulch, Utah, USA
Utah

Located in the Paria Canyon - Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness area, portions of Buckskin Gulch can be hiked during dry periods by following the dry wash from a trailhead off the Houserock road.  Hikers should always check trail conditions with the BLM field office located several miles east of the Houserock turnoff on Highway 89.

The trail follows an open wash for the first couple miles until the canyon walls close in and the trail becomes a relatively easy slot canyon.  Hikers can return the way they entered or choose to exit by way of Wire Pass which joins from the right (west side) approximately 2-3 miles down the trail.  You'll likely see a few lucky hikers coming down the Wire Pass trail on their way to The Wave.
