The Hans-Sachs-Haus has been build between 1924 and 1927 by the architect Alfred Fischer. It was one of the central buildings of the city. In 2001 the city of Gelsenkirchen agreed on a plan to renew the building. The actual status can be seen at http://stadt.gelsenkirchen.de/Virtuelles_Rathaus/Hans_Sachs_Haus/
