Under the Banyan Tree at Lord Howe Island, NSW, Australia
Pacific Ocean Islands

One of the many Banyan trees (Ficus macrophylla)on Lord Howe Island. They have huge limbs with drop aerial roots that grow into trees when they reach the ground. These support the limbs so that they spread into large canopies. One tree may have many trunks.
