香古寺是古丝绸之路上的名刹之一,传说建于西汉武帝时期,传说中的故事和一些历史人物及高僧大德有关,虽然香古寺是一座历史名刹,不过因为众所周知的原因五六十年代毁于一旦,完全成为一片废墟,现在的香古寺是1993年重建的,我到这里的时候,寺院里很安静,没有什么游人,僧人很热情,给我们介绍了一些历史知识和佛教知识。
