The "1866" plaza is on of landmarks of Chania's new part.It used to called by the locals the plaza with the "new shops" back in the 1950s and this nick name still remains.The visitor can see many busts of local Heros.

The History of Crete, the Southest piece of land of Europe continent, encompasses the ancient Minoan civilization.
