Orewa Beach 1
Northland
A nearly 3km-long beach about 25 minutes north of Auckland. this beach is wide and flat and is great for kids, due to the relatively safe swimming environment. Also attracts sports people who want to kayak, windsurf or kite surf.

More About Northland

Auckland is the commercial capital of New Zealand but anything to the North can be considered "Northland". Preferred destination for tourists and workers alike when surf, sand, diving and fishing is involved. It has a solid rural base of Dary, Beef and Sheep as well as horticulture and wineyards. Whangarei is the regional city on the way up to Cape Reinga at the northernmost tip of the island.
