Attaching locks to bridges is one of the most popular tradtions among newly wedded couples in Latvia - it symbolises firmness and stability of their marriage, esto perpetua so to say. The bridge of Bastion Hill has probably the most extensive collection of locks in Riga - from simple and practical items to rare vintage - and every single lock is a surety of someone's love story that wants to continue forever... :)
