This is the old suspension bridge, built in 1928, crossing the North Fork of the American River on Iowa Hill road. Iowa Hill road goes from Colfax to the old mining town of Iowa Hill, founded in 1853.

This is just upstream from the Mineral Bar Campground on the North Fork of the American River. Lot of people like to try their luck here at placer gold mining and fishing. P.S. Can you find Zoey the dog?
