I climbed to a unique looking but unnamed knob above Dark Meadow in the Gifford Pinchot forest. Elk trails up the side of the hill made the climbing very easy.

We enjoyed a nice sunny respite in the Jardin des Tuileries. This garden is adjacent to the Louvre in the center of Paris. It is popular for tourists and locals.

Monet lived and worked in Giverny, west of Paris. His estate has a restored flower garden and water garden where he made many paintings.  April is the best time to visit (especially on a nice sunny day).

The Jardin des Plantes is the main botanical garden in France. the flower garden was in full bloom in April. We were luck to visit on a warm sunny day.

This is the fountain Medici in the Luxembourg Garden.  It was build by Marie de Medici, widow of King Henri IV.  It features Polyphimus (giant son of Poseidon) surprising the two lovers.
