The beach to the northwest of Ha'ena Beach Park was not crowded at all. For a quiet location this is the spot. This beach is especially nice because of the towering mountains so close by.

I stumbled upon these rocks at Ha'ena Beach Park and thought they looked rather unusual. Just to the northwest of the park they contrast the soft sand and provide pools for viewing small underwater wildlife.

There is plenty of beach space available at Ha'ena Beach Park and this is the beach directly in front of the park. If you like being where the action is this is the spot for this beach.

Tunnels Beach is spectacular and while most of the homes along it are smaller and more common there are also a couple of larger homes like this one. Perfect location and deck for stunning beach views and access.

This spot along the Koke'e Road (Highway 552) surprised me. It's not nearly as dramatic as the Waimea Canyon but the bright red earth reminded me of Mars...so I had to capture it.
