Been photographing Virtual Tours and Large Panoramas for the past 4 years. I started out photographing interiors for a realestate developer and later started creating gigapixel panoramas of the Overberg (Kleinmond, Hermanus, Betty's Bay, Pringle Bay, Gordons Bay) area where I live.

Well, experience has taught us that most people don't like to read too many words .. :-) So, we won't say much more than .. we like creating websites, we like programming, we like working out solutions and we hope you like what we do – enough to contact us to do your work. Also, we like anything to do with space, the universe and distant planets!

Hi! Thanks for taking a look at my gigapixel panoramic images.  These images average 220 Megapixels and are each created from over 100 pictures from my camera.  I also shoot larger, rectangular panoramas that can be as larger as 5 Gigapixels and are also available at Photosynth.net and GigaPan.org, where I am known as GigaView and GigaView360, respectfully. 

In April 2010, I made a virtual tour of the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River in northern Arizona, United States.  Through 360Cities.net, you are now able to join my friends and I on our rafting adventure through the jewel of America's Best Idea.  From several of our lunch stops, camp sites, and side canyon hikes, you will find deeply immersive panoramas that are now also available in the rich context of Google Earth.  The virtual tour is called Grand Canyon GigaView.

As a former Google Maps Street View photographer (with Immersive Media) and former expedition river guide, I guess it was only natural that I would feel the need to share this journey immersively online.  Grand Canyon GigaView has been a not-for-profit labor-of-love that was 100% sponsored by a Kickstarter.com fund raising campaign.  Thank you to all of my generous "backers"!

Although I have been involved with immersive imagery for 6 years, Grand Canyon GigaView was my first project to use gigapixel photography and I have been addicted to the technique since.  GigaPixel photography is the perfect compliment to my original expertise, 360 degree video, an emerging medium that immerses the viewer in the entirety of an experience.

My personal work, my passion is fine art nature and landscape photography. A great hobby but no way to make a living these days! I enjoy extracting the little things out in the woods and prairies - insects on flowers, abstract forms and colors that others may pass by unnoticed. The flip side of that are grand landscapes and cloudscapes of the prairies, lakes and forests near my home. I have been experimenting with different techniques lately – focus stacking (PS5), spherical panoramas (PTgui) and HDR (Photomatix). In general I do most of my editing in Adobe Lightroom 3, then some Photoshop as necessary. I try to keep editing to a minimum – cropping, color correction and sharpening. When I was 10, I discovered Saturn in a telescope: I was amazed by the vision of its rings through the eyepiece, I realized there are worlds out there! Since then, I became a space enthusiast with a more particular interest for planet Mars and its exploration.

I spend my spare time processing photos taken by Curiosity rover to share with the public its journey on the red planet.

I'm also involved in public outreach by giving talks about astronomy, astrophysics, planetary sciences and exobiology.

Ich bin Jahrgang 1977 und Panograf aus Leidenschaft. Eigentlich bin ich gar kein Fotograf, zumindest kein gelernter. Ich arbeite hauptberuflich im Bereich Erneuerbare Energien und fotografiere in meiner Freizeit leidenschaftlich gern.

Meine ersten Berührungen mit der Fotografie hatte ich bereits im Jahr 1999 auf diversen Rockkonzerten. Damals habe ich einige Bands über viele Jahre begleitet und fotografiert. Über die Weitwinkelfotografie kam ich letztlich zur Panoramafotografie. Ich wollte viel, am besten alles aufs Bild bringen! Ab 2006 packte ich die Panorama Technik richtig an. Heute entstehen Gigapixel-Panoramen und Virtuelle Rundgänge, die mit HDR-Technik und Bildbearbeitung den letzten Schliff erhalten - alles aus Leidenschaft für das große Ganze.

Daher ist Eskimue-Panorama.de nach wie vor ein rein privat orientiertes Projekt.
