The crest of Salazes and Cimendef are reflecting in mare à Martin. The ramparts that encircle the circus are included in the territory of Reunion National Park, listed since July 31, 2010 as World heritage.

This is the first area you can stop and gaze at the ruins as you follow the trail around the canyon. Note the black on the bottom of the cliff side from ancient fires.
