蓮池潭は台湾、高雄市内から北へ約10kmの場所に広がる淡水湖。湖をとり囲むように極彩色の寺廟が数多く点在し、高雄を代表する観光スポットとなっている。龍虎塔は2つの塔を龍と虎がそれぞれ守っており、龍の入り口から入って、虎の口から出ることで、それまでの悪行を取り消しにしてくれるといわれている。龍の塔6階からの眺め。
