The Citadel Viewpoint is the site of a WWII anti-aircraft gun. It overlooks the Ness Batterry where service personel were stationed and it overlooks the western entrance to Scapa Flow.

The bay below this point is Houton which was a seaplane base in WWI. This a sheltered bay in Scapa Flow.

This part of the shore is reasonably easy to get to and, according to local legend, may be near to the where the sextant from the 'Mary Celeste' was throw away by the widow of the man who took it from the ship.

From Olad Viewpoint you get a lovely view of the Pentland Ffirth and Scotland to the south, the North Sea to the east, Orkney to the north and the southern entrance to Scapa Flow to the west.

This is a viewpoint overlooking Scapa Flow. You can see the island of Graemsay with Stromness beyond and then all the way down the flow to Flotta and South Ronaldsay.

This is the first of the Churchill Barriers which block the eastern entrance to Scapa Flow. They are also causways linking the four islands of Lamb Holm, Glimps Holm, Burray and South Ronaldsay to The Mainland.
