Archangelos monastery near Ürgüp in Cappadocia, with frescoes from the 9th to 11th century. Although they are covered from soot there is a lot visible. The monastery was in use until the 1st world war.

Pancarlık Kilise: The mainly green and red frescoes are from the end of the 9th century. This church was in use until 1922 and the candles indicate that there are still people coming to pray.
