釣魚翁此段的景觀更可遠至港島的柴灣。往田下山方向，視野更為廣闊，除卻港島方面的景色外，更可俯瞰清水灣鄉村俱樂部的全貌，果洲群島、火石洲及糧船洲等，盡入眼簾。

尖削的釣魚翁因特殊的外觀而被遠足界列為「香港三尖」之一。山頂是酸性熔岩構成的火山岩石崖，地勢陡峭，且布滿節理；酸性熔岩的下一層是熔結凝灰岩，由火山灰及石粒組成。釣魚翁聳立於清水灣半島，是西貢三尖之一。此山峰高聳入雲，鄰近的廟仔墩呈圓拱形，橫看狀如翠鳥(釣魚郎)的嘴巴與鳥身，故稱釣魚翁。http://www.oasistrek.com/high_junk_peak.php

The end result of a long morning hiking up to the South Summit of Mt. Jefferson in Nevada. Just shy of 12,000 feet, it is one of the highest points in the state. With lightning on three sides, we didn't stick around!
