烏帽子岳（上田）は標高2065ｍの山。山頂からは北に四阿山、東には湯の丸山、浅間山、南に八ヶ岳、西に北アルプスが見える。空気が澄んでいれば富士山も見える。この日は天気が良く、青空の下気持ち良くハイキングできた。

湯ノ丸山（2101ｍ）。山頂は南峰と北峰がありこれは南峰からのパノラマ。西には烏帽子岳や南アルプス、北には四阿山、南東に浅間山、南に八ヶ岳が見える。6月には中腹の斜面をレンゲツツジが真っ赤に染め、大勢の観光客が見に来る。
