This fine levada is easy to access and easy to walk. It is little-used, although close to Rabaçal. Continuing to walk, one can get to the top of Risco Waterfall and the wind pond Lagoa do Vento.

The levada itself offers a relaxing walk along the valley of Tabua. Climbing up from Ribeira Brava is worth the effort.

In hiking guides, the tour along Levada do Moinho is characterized as challenging - I escaped unscathed. The very few obstacles turned out to be minor problems.

Beneath the hotel Jardim Atlantico in Prazeres, Madeira, a footpath down to the village Paul do Mar begins. It seems short on a hiking map, but in fact the difference in altitude is more than 500 meters.
