This is the Hokokuji Temple in Kamakura. It has a well kept garden around it and at the back of the temple is a beautiful bamboo garden which it is famous for. It is sometimes called Bamboo temple due to this.

単なる雑木林の様にも見えるが、実は中世の主要交通路であった「鎌倉街道上道」である。 鎌倉街道には関東地方だけでも主要幹線としての三本の道「上道(かみつみち)」「中道(なかつみち)」「下道(しもつみち)」が存在するが、そのうちの「上道」の掘割遺構が毛呂山町の歴史民俗資料館付近にて良好な状態で現存している。
