The name of this place is Acik Saray, which means "open palace". The function of this cavecomplex is not clear. It is presumed, that it was built in the 11th century and served travellers as caravanserai.

This is inside one of the big tuff rocks in Cappadocia. Previously it has been a big apartment with many rooms on several floors. It's planned to change this tuff rock into a museum.
