The footpath along the levada from Queimadas was in good condition in February 2013. The complete round trip to Caldeirão do Inferno takes about six hours, so not too many people will be seen here.

This fine levada is easy to access and easy to walk. It is little-used, although close to Rabaçal. Continuing to walk, one can get to the top of Risco Waterfall and the wind pond Lagoa do Vento.
