A small moulin on Esetuk Glacier transports surface meltwater to the bottom of the glacier.  Using ice radar, we can track the locations of these small conduits within the ice.

Frank and Charlotte make use of the warm and dry galley, as well as the internet, to process radar data from the glacier.  Quite a change from being in a drippy mountain tent.

Swales like this are common on the glacier.  This one seems largely formed by meltwater, but many seem to be formed by wind scour.  Winds here can reach 100 mph.
