백두산 올라가기 전이나 내려온 뒤에 잠시 잠을 내어 한눈 팔면 좋은 경관이 펼쳐진다. 저 아래쪽이 다시 짚을 타고 내려갔다가 버스를 타고 가게 될 곳이다. 박박기어올라가야할 계단이 기다리고 있는줄도 모른채....

곡예에 가까운 짚을 얻어타고 이 곳에 도착하게 된다. 정신이 하나도 없다. 저기 보이는 비탈 길을 잠시 걸어 올라가면 그토록 기다리던 백두산 천지가 발 아래 펼쳐진다. 촬영 포인트가 될만한 곳이면 어김없이 많은 사람들이 장사진을 치게 된다.

여기가지는 셔틀버스를 타고 왔지만 여기서부터 백두산 가지는 짚을 타게 된다. 천지 입구까지는 다른 셔틀 버스로 갈아타게 된다. 여기서부터 타는 짚은 아마 난생 처음 타보는 곡예에 가까운 운전실력을 뽐내는 지을 타게된다. 물론 사진 한 장도 촬영하기 힘들다.
