Muir Beach at the northern end of the Marine headlands, next to the community of Muir Beach, CA and not far from Muir Woods can be reached by taking Highway 1. Black Sands Beach require hiking.

This is Muir Beach. A beautiful spot to spend the day hiking around. A lot of hippies use to hang out here in the 60s. Its also a famous spot to paint because of its view of the Golden Gate Bridge around the bend.
