This is the upper part of College Valley, with a rainbow of colourful wild flowers. Further down the valley, past the hamlet of Hethpool built in the Art and Crafts style, the valley in the Cheviot Hills becomes wilder.

The Alnwick Garden in Alnwick is a formal garden adjacent to the Alnwick Castle. It is a very popular attraction in the town.  I will go back another time to make sure the fountains are spouting!
