A new apple orchard planted at Cotehele.The statue is of a hand rising form the earth presenting an apple. In the summer and autumn, the apple is green, but in the depths of winter it's quite stark and surreal!

Cultivated area is about 8 years, planted by Mr. Daniel Loretti, the trees produce fruit cupuaçu which is the main source of income of the family.

The Mother Orchard, this orchard will eventually have around 270 trees covering 120 varities of apples, these once mature will become a national resource for apple varities.
