The view here is from just below the lodge. It is a spectacular look out from a narrow foot path that sticks out into the canyon. The canyon below drops off quickly and seems to turn into thin air.

Down the metal stairs is Sahara's sports fields and behind the fields flows the river Siilinjoki. Further behind the river is the residential area of Leppäkaarre. The tall, yellow building is the Salmi elementary school.
