The entrance to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center on Memorial Day, 2011. Lots of tourists as you would expect. I didn't expect so many Japanese though...guess I didn't think about it.

Navy missiles in USS Bowfin Parkway & Museum. Specifically the Polaris A-1 submarine launched ballistic missile and torpedoes. Direct access between this area and the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.

Cruise missile, anti-aircraft guns, and Kaiten (Japanese suicide torpedo). Lots of interactive pieces here that you can handle and climb on. Place yourself in the action as you visualize what it was like.

Conning Tower from EX-USS Parche with great view inside. Contains equipment for steering and firing torpedoes. Also two periscopes (one for observation and navigation and the other for attack).

Missile, propeller, and great view of USS Bowfin Submarine and Admiral Bernard Chick Clarey Bridge (Ford Island Bridge). Didn't take a tour of the submarine, would like to get photograph from it!

Tribute to ships. Lots of time to get this shot as everyone wanted their photograph taken in front of this flag. Flag flying at half mast because it was Memorial Day I think.

USS Arizona anchor recovered from the ship. Surprising how large this is, but then again battleships are not small items. USS Arizona Memorial can be seen across the water.

Outside boat loading area for trip to see USS Arizona Memorial near Ford Island. Each boat ride begins with a mandatory viewing of short film of the attack. Boat leaves every 15 minutes.

Globe of Pacific Theater in 1941 just inside Visitor Center. Lots of guests, had a hard time taking photo while no one was standing on it! Fun for kids to walk on.

Northwest end of USS Arizona Memorial, very windy, guests very quiet and introspect, volunteers very informative and served near time of attack. You are allowed as much time here as you would like.

Middle of USS Arizona Memorial, boat ride takes about 5 minutes, very windy day, could see bottom of water fairly well, solemn experience, guests very respectful.
