This is a combination of a panorama and HDR contrast enhancement. The statue by the lake is of Robert E. Simon, the "founder of Reston."

First experiment with panoramas: Sony a77 + Samyang 8mm fisheye. Three images were taken at each compass point, then the images were layered into six HDR images. These were stitched together for the final panorama.
