I wanted to get a pano by the pedestrian bridge at sunrise.  The sky was overcast and the light didn't cooperate, but I thought the black and white looked nice. 

Space Shuttle Endeavour buzzing the Capitol

The Space Shuttle Endeavour, mounted in a transit aircraft, passes over the state capital in Sacramento.  This is the last time the Endeavour will ever be airborne.  Sad, but what an incredible spectacle this was!

The cactus garden in the Capitol Park in downtown Sacramento.  Tucked off in the southeast corner of the park it isn't the centerpiece (the capitol building is obviously!), but it is one of my favorite parts of the park.
