Alpe Forna is a well set-up Bivacco close to the summit of Monte Zeda. It can be reached from Falmenta and has trails to both enclosing ridges.

Pian di Boit is roughly half-way between Pogallo and Bocchetta di Terza. There's a Bivacco Parco Nazionale Val Grande which is open to all. The setting on a lush meadow with a nice view is attractive.

On the ascent along the river from Finero to Bocchetta di Cortechiuso, the trail passes the Bivacco at Alpe Cortechiuso. There's a fine view back to valley of Il Fiume.

Pizzo Mottac, or just Mottac, isn't one of the largest Mountains in Val Grande National Park, but it is very central, and so many of the passes leading into the core zone of the park can be seen from here.
