The Tehra Gate is one of the back gates to Fatehpur Sikri. From here on this rainy day I got a beautiful overview of this small peaceful town. Off in the distant you can see the Jama Masjid overlooking the city.

Here in the east side of the Jama Masjid (mosque) as the early mornings sun shines in you can see how polished the red sandstone is as we look out towards Salim Chisti Tomb.

From here you can see some of the beautiful workmanship that went into building this palace. Fatehpur Sikri is often overlooked by tourists which is a real shame as one could spend days exploring its wonders.

The Buland Darwaza, also known as the Gate of Magnificence, towers above the courtyard of the mosque. On the outside a long flight of steps sweeps down the hill giving the gateway additional height.
