登上九龍坑山有幾個方法。第一個是在大埔頭村附近，沿衛奕信徑第八段上山。這個方法憑經驗相信是最辛苦的，因為中途有幾個落斜位，在「落咁多，上番咁多」 的效應下，上山高度變相增加；相反，最容易(但不是很容易)的方法是從流水響水塘沿流水響郊遊徑，步行至通往九龍坑山的車路，再沿之上山即可到達。http://www.hike.hk/load.jsp?route=cloudy&page=1
